What the fact-checkers found
According to a Facebook Page that calls itself “Audi Passion”, you can win one of two Audi cars just by liking, sharing, and commenting.
The giveaway post on the Facebook Page features an image of a man standing beside an Audi and claims that the lucky winners will be announced on November 15.
However, the giveaway is yet another Facebook like-farming scam. The Audi Passion Facebook Page has no connection to any legitimate Audi dealership and no cars are being given away.
Those who participate have no chance of winning anything at all. The image used in the scam post was stolen from a 2015 report about an Audi dealership in Qatar.
The fraudulent Facebook Page is designed to accumulate large numbers of Facebook likes as rapidly as possible. Once the Page has gathered a great many likes, it can then be reused to launch other types of scams. Or, it might be sold on the black market to other scammers.
Scams like this one are very common on Facebook.
